Founder of African Lotus Productions, he has become a seasoned producer of television programs, both magazine and documentaries since 2005. He made his debut into film in 2010 with the feature “White Gold,” telling the story of Indian Indenture where he also did cinematography that won Simon Sabela recognition. In 2017 he Co-produced the number one box office hit in South Africa: “Keeping up With the Kandasamys.” He continued this with Kandasamys: The Wedding in 2019. Mr Sing comes from a challenged background, where his physical disability only serves to inspire, training many aspirants in the various aspects of media.
CINEMATOGRAPHER:SIZWE MLEMBELELE
Sizwe has worked with African Lotus Productions on 2 blockbuster movies and has a proven track record in the South African film industry. Well known for his cinematography and DoP for national television programs, his keen eye, calm temperament in the most challenging set environment as well as being on top of the latest camera technologies, ensures that he was part of our core team once again.
EDITOR: BRIGHT GIGABA
Armed with a National Diploma in Filmmaking and Broadcasting, Bright is the senior editor at African Lotus. He is multi-skilled and has already been on various sets, including being a director at the SATMA awards, and consistently delivering weekly programs on SABC for over 10 years. He has also been the assistant editor in Kandasamys: The Wedding, a feature we produced, as well as freelance editor of other movie projects. Soultimes offered him a chance to take control of the Post Production by doing the offline edit upto final cut, including colour grading.
TELELVISION PRESENTER & PRODUCTION COORDINATOR: ALLISHA GAYAPERSAD
Having the opportunity of showcasing her talent as a presenter on national television, Allisha is also a production coordinator for African Lotus Productions. Harbouring a strong passion for the film and entertainment industry, she wrote and directed the beloved Soultimes. Over time, Allisha has developed the art of film and television by constantly delivering captivating Hindu content for the SABC television series Sadhana. Her integrity is what she is possibly best known for. She aspires to inspire the youth with her determination, dedication, and talent.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT: SIPHOSETHU MKUTU
He has acquired a wide range of knowledge with regards to film and television production from beginning to end and is quite informed and effective when it comes to assisting in the production of television series. Highly enthusiastic and creative, a hard worker that’s very passionate about his craft. While serving at African Lotus Productions as a production assistant he attained a lot of skills in improving productivity and efficiency.
